64th Annual City of Alameda Swim Championships
Friday, Saturday & Sunday August 3, 4 & 5, 2018
Encinal High School Swim Center,
230 Central Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501

Dear Swim Meet Participant,

Thank you very much for signing up for the City of Alameda Swim Championships! We have a lot of swimmers registered and the weekend should be great!

Many of you are new to swim meets, so Charles, one of our computer operators, has some suggestions to share with you for how to participate in the meet:

Check your entries

Please make sure your swimmer is shown on the registered swimmers list. Click the Entries link here, http://www.myswimming.info/alamedacitymeet2018/, and search for your swimmer's name and contact the Meet Director at alamedacitymeetdirector@myswimming.info to address any issues.

Example: John Doe mailed in the form to register for event 10 and 30. John checks the PDF list of swimmers and his name is not listed. Perhaps then the registration was lost in the mail. Contact the meet director immediately, and explain the situation.

1650 SWIMMERS ONLY:

Check in for your events

  • 1650 swimmers must check in for the 1650. All other events on all other days are pre-seeded. First thing you do when you arrive at the meet Friday is to go to the check-in desk and sign in with initials to confirm that you will swim the 1650. The check-in desk will be clearly marked on deck. If you can't find it, then ask a meet marshal. The marshals are wearing orange vests.
  • The check in volunteers will show you the procedures to confirm your event and scratch your event. If you do not check in, then you will not be seeded for the event and will not be listed on the HEAT/LANE assignment sheet. See Check your heat and lane assignments below.
  • If you will be scratching the 1650 (not swimming it even though you already checked in), go to check-in desk to scratch that event.
  • Each swimmer must sign in 30 minutes or earlier before event closes.
Check your heat and lane assignments

We will post your heat and lane assignemnts for each event on the walls next to the boys and girls locker rooms.

Each event is run in heats of six swimmers. For example, if there are 18 swimmers signed up for the event, we need to run three heats of six swimmers to make sure that all entered swimmers get to swim. So, for example, when you look at the heat and lane assignments for your event and it reflects heat 3, lane 4, that means that you will swim in the third heat and in lane four.

You can also get your heat and lane assignments using the Meet Mobile application for iPhone or Android. See the Live Results link here, http://www.myswimming.info/alamedacitymeet2018/, for complete information regarding Meet Mobile.

Pick up your awards Swimmers must pick up any ribbons or awards either on Saturday or Sunday (Aug 8 or 9). No other dates are available for pickup. Unclaimed ribbons or awards will not be available to be claimed except on these dates. If you are not present for the awards ceremony for your event, then stop by the office at the pool during the meet to pick up your awards.
